A Novel Printed Monopole Antenna With A Tapered-line Resonator Loading

In this paper, a novel compact printed monopole antenna is presented. The consists of planar and tapered-line resonator with inner coupled section, which works as near-field resonant parasitic (NFRP) element. frequency can be decreased dramatically by the strong coupling between antenna. Thus, miniaturization realized. simulated results show that decreases from 2.98 GHz to 2.4 electric length reduced 0.32 λ 0.25 loading NFRP After theoretical analysis presented, sample manufactured measured verify predictive performance proposed overall size only 44.6×31.8×0.5mm3, operation ranges 2.59 2.85 (9.5%) based on |S11| ≤ -10 dB, gain about 1.98dBi, are in well agreement results.
